This is a two-way driver to control and get feedback from supported DMP Security Panels. The driver can set Arm / Disarm / Home (Stay) / Sleep / Away / Clear alarms.
THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS ARE SUPPORTED
The Driver uses the predefined system option in DMP: Area, All / Perimeter, Home / Sleep / Away, HAS with Guest. Depending on how you have your system configured, the driver will behave according to these definitions.
In an Area (A) all areas are armed / disarmed at once. The All Option is not available in this setup.
In an All/Perimeter (All Perim) system, the functions are divided into 2 main areas:
In a Home/Sleep/Away (H S A) system, the building is divided into 3 areas: perimeter, interior, and bedrooms.
This will behave same as Home / Sleep / Away above. It will also add the same partitions for the Guest Area as well.
The driver will automatically add the All Zones and All Guest Zones to Elan if the system is configured as A / P, H/S/A, or H/S/A with guests. The All Zone will not be present if the system is only Area.
Sample driver with H/S/A/Guest
NOTE: If you use Standard, then change the PORT in the driver to match the Network Programming Port (default is 2001).
NOTE: If you use Standard, then you cannot use Remote Link while the Panel is connected to Elan. Change the Port in Elan, hit Apply. When done with Remote Link, disconnect, re-enter the correct Port in Elan and hit Apply
NOTE: Partition 1 in Elan will always be named Partition 1, the rest will be changed according to the Area/Zone from the DMP panel. Change the name as needed.
All Zones partition will be created to arm / disarm / clear all zones at once. If at least one zone is armed, this will show armed.
Set Options such as Bypass Pin Required to force users to enter PIN to bypass. Change / modify modes as needed.
Set Exit Delay – This will start an exit timer. Make sure this matches the value in DMP as listed above. Otherwise, the user will get the wrong information about when the system is Armed.
Set Entry Delay if required, otherwise set to 0 to disable Entry Delay. Usually, Entry Delay is handled by the panel. Add Value here if needed.
The driver has a built in Disarm Event that can be triggered as needed. By default the driver has a disarm function. This is only an event map to be used for non built-in functions such as relay trigger to disarm the alarm. This even map is exposed in the configurator. This function will bypass all PIN requirements to disarm so use with CAUTION.
To Create this trigger, from Event Maps, Add Event Map 🡪 Choose the triggering action then Choose Security System🡪DMP🡪Execute Function🡪Disarm.
There are two ways to add users in Elan.
First is from the Configurator. This is dealer controlled. Up to 10 users.
The second is from the front end viewer using Advanced Setting. This is End User controlled. Up to 4 user codes.
In order to authenticate users, each user must be added to the User Settings page in the configurator.
Each user must have a unique pin code. If a user filled is blank, leave the pin code blank as well.
The user will be asked to supply this pin code for all functions in the driver. We recommend making this pin code the same as the Panel.
This code does not sync to the panel and operates independently from the User Codes in the panel. Make sure to sync these manually if required.
This method requires the End User to have the password to the Advanced settings in the viewer.
Choose the Mode (Disarm / Away / Stay (or Sleep) / Clear) to execute a function. Enter the pin code assigned in the driver. Partition should Arm / Disarm / Clear accordingly. The panel will start an Arming Timer.
To Bypass a zone, click on the list menu item and click bypass. To UnBypass, click the button again.
NOTE: Make sure to set the BYPASS option in the Configurator for the zone.
Clear will only clear the temp alarm buffer. It will not reset or disarm the system. To completely clear Alarms, the panel must be disarmed.
