¶ Overview
The driver will control a commercial LG Display using an IP network. It will install under Display Drivers in Elan.
This is a two-way IP driver to control LG Commercial Displays and Projectors TV’s from Elan with dynamic loading of LG Tuners Controls, Display Settings, TV Source Control and Volume Control with HR10 / HR30 Support.
The Elan controller is capable of querying the LG Display TV, returning Channels and transport control over the LG Display.

¶ Device Configuration
The Driver uses a static IP address for the LG TV.
Important Note:
Collect the following information from your LG TV before installation
Display ID (include the leading 0, such as 01 or 02)
MAC address for the display. This is needed for Wake-On-LAN power on feature of the driver

¶ Driver Configuration
The Elan Controller must be on the same subnet as the Display.
Important Note: Always Backup the controller before installing any new Device Drivers.
Each LG TV is setup for 13 Sources, including a Built-In Tuner, HDMI, Component and AV1 Inputs. Not all TV’s will have all sources.
¶ Installation Process
Please follow the below installation process in order to ensure proper operation
- Unzip the driver downloaded into the driver installation library.
- Open Video Displays, Add New Video Display. Choose LG_Commercial (the picture below might show a different version number than the driver actually installed.). Tap OK and Agree to the Disclaimer.
- Once the Driver is installed it will automatically go into a 30-day trial mode after 10 seconds.
- Enter the Activation code received in the confirmation email. Activation codes are also kept in the online account.
- Enter MAC Address
- Enter Display ID with the leading zero such as 01, 02, etc.
- By Default Activate Settings is off, if you wish to use the TV Display Settings in the driver, activate this option. Disabling this feature will make the driver faster.
- Not all commercial Displays support all the features included in the settings page. See Using the Driver for more detail on this option.
- Enter the IP address
- Click Apply and Wait about 10 seconds for the driver to activate and apply the settings.
- The driver will also automatically install controls and an EMV file for the built in LG built in Tuner and a separate EMV for the Settings Page.
- Test the Driver by activating the Virtual Display Control
- Under Zone Controllers Rename the display and set the Display to the Renamed device.
- To Enable Volume Control on the TV, Set the Volume control to the LG Display
- Under the Zone Controller, the recommended Setting for On Off Control is Discrete Verify (Always Send)
- PowerOn / PowerOff.
- If the Show as Zone setting is set to Yes, then Power On and Power Off must be manually linked to the proper function.
- Under the Zone in the Zone Controllers, Choose Power On or Off, Add Command, Display, Name of LG TV, Turn Display On / Off
- Add any extra sources to Display Zones or Zone Controller. Change the name Icons to desired values. There is are icons included with the driver for Display Icons

- “<User Defined>”, etc. Type in the desired name for the item.
- “<Auto Detect>”, etc. The system will auto detect this variable.

¶ Using the Driver
The Main screen is the transport screen for the Analog and Digital TV Tuners (If supported by the Display)
If the Display doesn’t support Tuners, Disable the feature in the Driver.
- To Disable the Settings or any Source, in the Zone Controller change Show to Don’t Show.
- The driver also supports display settings and Display Modes accessible in the Settings Screen. By default the settings page appears but it’s functionality is disabled. To turn it on, set the option in the driver configurator called “Activate Settings”
¶ Troubleshooting
- HHR, HR10 and HR30 do not support channel or custom icons. Only Elan embedded icons are supported
- LGTV is not getting turned on. Make sure the TV accepts WakeOnLAN packets.
