¶ Overview
This is a two-way driver to control and receive feedback from the uHoo Air Quality Monitor using Nice's Air Devices Utilities.
¶ Supported Features
The following options are supported:
- Auto Installation of all discovered devices
- Feedback for Air Quality Monitoring in graphic and text modes.
- The Driver will return
- Dust, Temp, Humidity, Pressure, VOC, CO2, CO, Ozone, NO2, and the virus score
- Numeric triggers for all measured values using Event Maps
The following playback options are not supported:
- The driver uses the uHoo Consumer App. Business App is not supported
Any feature not specifically noted as supported should be assumed to be unsupported
¶ Device Configuration
Install the uHoo Sensor according to the manufacturer’s instructions. The Driver uses the uHoo cloud to operate, so an internet connection must be present. Make sure to add the sensor to the uHoo Consumer App (Business App is not supported) and check its operation

¶ Installation Process
This Driver requires NICE OS 8.8.603 or higher. This driver is best designed to be used on one uHoo device at a time. More devices are on the way
- From Utilities —> Air Devices —> Import —> uHooUtilities
- Enter your activation code and user credentials then Apply
- Click Install, and wait until the driver is authorized for about 10 seconds. The driver will install all Sensors associated with the account under the driver.
- The Driver will install all the Air inputs.
NOTE: Recommended Polling Time is 5 minutes. Any less may not provide updated information

¶ Using The Driver
The Driver will automatically map all the values to graphs with pre-set values. To change the values and the names of the displayed parameters, go to Numeric Inputs and change as needed.
To Add the Driver to the desired interface :
- Go to Intefarce, Utilities, Click on uHooUtilities and click the right arrow then Apply.
- It will automatically graph all value.
Open The Viewer to see the graphs.
¶ EVENT MAPS Based On Numeric Triggers
- To Create Event maps based on Sensor Values, use Numeric Triggers.
- Create the numeric trigger first, then use it in an event map.
- To Create Even Maps based on preset Max, Min, Fair, Poor values. Right Click the Numeric Input Name and create event map.
- To setup a numeric trigger, go to Numeric Triggers, Add New Numeric Trigger. Name it. Click Ok.
- Choose the Numeric Value Variable, Choose the Type, and the trigger value.
- Create the Event Map for that trigger
Note: Elan will show the name of the general name of the variable. If you have multiple drivers installed or multiple drivers with the same name such as uHooDust or uHooVOC, you have no way to tell which sensors it belongs to by the name. The best way to determine which numeric trigger belongs to which driver is by their order of appearance and installation. The order of the variable that appears in the list is the same as the order of the uHoo-specific sensors under Sense Inputs.
¶ Disclaimer
This driver uses an Open source API. Open source is defined when Innovo uses a publicly or privately available API to make the driver work. Many times, those API calls are community-supported and not officially supported by the manufacturer of the device. Sometimes those API’s break because the manufacturer makes changes to their system without informing the community. The community usually releases a fix quickly after such breakage. However, in certain cases, fixes can take weeks and months, and in very rare cases a fix is not possible. Until a fix is offered, the driver will have limited or cease to function. Please warn your client of this possibility. Have a backup plan so that your client can continue using their systems such as using the official App for the equipment manufacturer while a fix is being worked out.
