Impact: 20–60s web UI downtime while interfaces restart.
Try https://mc-dj.local.
Check your router’s DHCP client list (“MC-DJ” / “Innovo”).
If any MC-DJ page is still open, Settings → Network shows the current IP.
Power-cycle if needed; the unit will request DHCP on boot.
Go to Maintenance → Services.
[Screenshot: Maintenance → Services with Restart buttons]
Restart Audio Engine (Squeezelite) — Restarts zone players (brief playback stop).
Restart Lyrion Music Server (LMS) — Restarts LMS & plugins (10–30s interruption).
Restart Web/API — Brief Admin UI outage, then returns.

Availability depends on region/build; if missing, contact support.
Each zone can expose three names (keep them unique and usually aligned):
Player Name (Zone Name)
Shows in MC-DJ UI, LMS player selector, and the home control system as the zone label.
Use customer-friendly room names (“Kitchen”, “Patio”).
AirPlay Name
Shows on iOS/macOS AirPlay pickers.
What Apple devices stream to.
Spotify Connect Name
Shows in the Spotify app → Devices list.
What users select to cast from Spotify.
Devices/Players → on a zone click More (⋯) → Configure → Identity.
Set Player Name, AirPlay Name, Spotify Connect Name → Save.
If prompted, click Restart Audio Engine to re-advertise discovery names.

Notes & Tips
Make names unique (AirPlay/Spotify will de-duplicate).
Avoid emojis/special symbols for compatibility.
Control systems may cache; trigger a driver/device refresh to see updated Player Name.
Devices/Players → (⋯) Configure:
Output Device (HDMI, USB DAC, I²S; hardware-dependent)
Startup Volume / Max Volume
Latency/Buffer (raise if you hear dropouts)
Auto-Start on Boot
[Screenshot: Player Configure → Audio/Output tab]
LMS → Settings → Player (select player at top-right):
Audio (device, sample rate, replay gain)
Playback (fade/crossfade behavior)
Synchronization (jitter buffers for grouped playback)
Advanced (format handling/transcoding)
[Screenshot: LMS → Settings → Player tabs]
Tip: For future sync groups, keep crossfade off.
In LMS, choose a player (top-right selector).
Click the small triangle/arrow menu → Synchronize.
Check the players to merge with the selected leader → Synchronize.
[Screenshot: LMS → Player menu → Synchronize dialog]
The selected player is the group leader; followers mirror play/pause/seek.
LMS → Settings → Player → Synchronization to tweak delay/jitter buffers.
Avoid per-player DSP/crossfade in a group.
To remove a room: Synchronize again and uncheck it (or stop that player locally).
Best for stability: wired Ethernet backhaul. Wi-Fi works but is more variable.
No Audio: Confirm Output Device, amplifier input, and cabling.
Choppy/Dropouts: Prefer wired Ethernet; raise buffer; avoid congested Wi-Fi.
Streaming login fails: Re-authorize inside LMS; Restart LMS.
Can’t reach UI: Use https://mc-dj.local, check router DHCP list, or Reset Networking (Section 3.2).
Registration errors: Check internet, verify fields, retry after a few minutes.
Sync drifts: Disable crossfade/DSP for grouped players; adjust Synchronization buffers.
MC-DJ Web UI: Admin, network, services, players
→ https://mc-dj.local or device IP
Lyrion Music Server: Library, services, sync, player advanced
→ MC-DJ button “Open Lyrion Music Server” (or http://<IP>:9000)
Common Restarts:
Audio Engine (Squeezelite) — stuck output/name changes
Lyrion / LMS — plugin/service changes
Web/API — admin UI refresh
Reboot System — full clean restart
If your screens differ or you need a hand, email support@innovo.net and include:
MC-DJ serial number
Current IP address
A screenshot of the page you’re on
We’ll help you get it perfect.
Your NAS IP or name (e.g., 192.168.0.205 or nas.local)
The exact Share Name on the NAS (case-sensitive, e.g., music)
For SMB/CIFS shares: Username and Password that can access that share
MC-DJ always maps your drive under
/NetworkShares/<YourName>.
You only enter the final folder name (for example, music), and MC-DJ handles the rest.
Open the MC-DJ web app and go to the Network tab.
Scroll to the Network Shares card.
Click Add New… (top-right of the card) to clear the form.
Fill in the form:
Share Type (Protocol):
CIFS / SMB (Most Common) for Synology, QNAP, TrueNAS, Windows shares
NFS if your NAS uses NFS exports
NAS Address or NAS Network Name: e.g., 192.168.0.205
Exact Name of Shared Directory on the NAS (CaSe SEnsItiv): e.g., music
Mapped Directory Name on the MC-DJ: (just the name, no slashes)
Enter the folder name you want under /NetworkShares/, typically the same as the share (e.g., music)
MC-DJ will mount it at /NetworkShares/music
For CIFS/SMB only: Username and Password (from your NAS).
(Optional: leave SMB Version as 3.1.1 unless your NAS needs an older version)
Extra Options: leave empty unless your installer has given you a specific value.
Click Add / Update Mount.
Watch the banner at the top of the card:
Success: You’ll see a green banner showing the mapped path (e.g., /NetworkShares/music).
The banner stays visible for a bit — you don’t need to do anything.
If there’s an error: A red banner explains what went wrong. You can click × to close it, or it will go away the next time you submit.
The mini table above the form refreshes automatically every few seconds and shows Mounted / Not mounted.
In the Network Shares table:
Look at the left column — it shows a green dot (Mounted) or red dot (Not mounted).
You’ll also see:
Target: where it’s mapped on MC-DJ (e.g., /NetworkShares/music)
Source: where it comes from on your NAS (e.g., //192.168.0.205/music for SMB)
If it’s Not mounted, see the Troubleshooting tips below.
In Network → Network Shares, find the row you want to remove.
Click Remove.
The row disappears and the system cleans up the mount configuration.
Removing a share doesn’t delete files on your NAS — it only removes the connection on MC-DJ.
If you made a change that broke your mounts:
In Network → Network Shares, click Rollback fstab (top-right of the card).
The last known good configuration is restored.
You’ll see a confirmation banner.
Repeat Add New… with different names:
Example mapped paths:
/NetworkShares/music
/NetworkShares/movies
/NetworkShares/projects
Each share is independent. You can remove one without affecting others.
“Not mounted” stays red
Double-check the Exact Name of Shared Directory (case matters: music ≠ Music).
Make sure the username/password have access to that share (SMB/CIFS).
Try leaving SMB Version as default (3.1.1). If your NAS is older, your installer may advise trying 3.0 or 2.1.
Ensure the NAS and MC-DJ are on the same network and the NAS is online.
Error banner after clicking Add / Update
Read the message and adjust the field it mentions.
If your password has special characters, re-enter it carefully.
Confirm the NAS IP or name is correct.
I don’t see my share listed
Click Refresh at the top-right of the Network Shares card.
If it still doesn’t appear, click Add New… and enter the details again.
Where do I find the files once it’s mounted?
Inside MC-DJ at /NetworkShares/<YourName>. (Apps that need a path should use that.)
Can I rename a mapped directory later?
Yes — remove the old one and add a new one with the new name.
Will this affect my NAS files?
No — this only creates a connection from MC-DJ to your NAS share.
